Works on 497 and AudioStar handsets with newer firmware eg 43GN (updatable via www.stargps.ca). *IMPORTANT - some EQ LX mounts have the AUX port polarity reversed, this is dictated by a small white sticker in the battery compartment. If in any doubt please use the USB power bank to power your Telescope bridge, and not use AUX.

Please be aware, it is always best practice to plug in CONNECTSTAR while the entire unit is powered down. Some telescopes, notably Celestron can have issues with "hot plugging" devices!

Below is the QR code to get the app onto your device (If on mobile click or scan the QR code).

QR 2 Most current newer phones support the required sensors: Gyro and compass. Please check your device has sufficient sensors before using the ALIGNSTAR. You can easily check this by running the app, as initially it will use your gyro and compass to orient itself.

 

Android users, ensure you are using the Google Chrome browser, and your phone supports Bluetooth 4LE (Not classic bluetooth). See this guide You can also use the iOS specific app if you prefer a wifi connection. See this guide on the iOS app on Android


iOS Apple users, you will need to use the Bluetooth 4LE capabilities provided by the FREE Bluefy Web BLE Browser.
