PointSTAR is a mount-agnostic push-to accessory for any telescope, or tripod-mounted binoculars - straps or tapes on, paired over Bluetooth, that guides you to align-then-slew onto targets by hand. No motors, no encoders.
Pan and pinch to look around, tap any star or object for details, and open Push-To mode to connect your PointSTAR board, align on a few known stars, and get live guidance onto a target.
Push-To turns your phone into a live guide for slewing the scope by hand: connect your PointSTAR board below, then align on a few known stars before push-to targeting unlocks.
Connect your PointSTAR device.
How many stars would you like to align on? More stars means a tighter fit across more of the sky, at the cost of a little more setup time.
For each one: search for a bright star you can identify, physically slew the telescope onto it and centre it in the eyepiece, then open that star here and tap “Set as align point.” If a later star turns out off-centre once you get there, use “Centered in eyepiece — refine alignment” instead of starting over.
